The City of Monroe, in partnership with Brown Web Design, has recently completed an upgrade of the city website.
Our original website was created around 1999 by local designer Tal Thompson and maintained by him through 2008.
After the city appointed it's first I.T. Administrator Steve Conwell in 2008, the website was developed and managed internally. Many changes were made, much content was added, and an expansion into social media outlets increased the city's web presence.
However, as technology changes, so must web design. The city decided that it was time for a fresh approach to our web presence and decided to bring in a professional designer to lay the foundation for our webpage going into the future.
With the increasing proliferation of mobile computing devices, web developer Jess Brown decided that a flat design concept would be ideal. This design is not only clean and open, but responsive to device size, and is touch screen friendly as well.
Brown previously worked with the Monroe Downtown Development Authority on their website in 2008.
