City of Monroe Solid Waste Department Participates in Cell Phone Recycling Program

The City of Monroe's Solid Waste Department is starting a program that will allow citizens to recycle their old, outdated cell phones by dropping them in boxes at select locations around the city.  This program is a collaboration between the Wireless Alliance and the City of Monroe.  The program will help keep the cell phones out of landfills and eliminate potentially harmful toxins from seeping into the earth.

To recycle cells phones, you can drop them off at City Hall, the Monroe Visitors Center, or the Police Station.
