Customers may notice that some channels may display a message stating that those channels may longer be available. Don't worry, we have someone working on behalf of the City of Monroe and the Citizens of Monroe to resolve this issue. NCTC is in the middle of negotiations with Viacom to ensure that these channels remain available to citizens at a fair cost. Viacom is wanting an 87% increase in cost and NCTC is working to make sure that does not happen. There is a slight chance that those channels may go off air at 12 a.m., if negotiations are not met. This does not mean they will be gone forever, just until NCTC can negotiate a reasonable price for the City and its customers. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these issues.
