The City of Monroe has hired it's first Information Technology Administrator to handle internal technology needs for all city departments.
As technology continues to rapildy grow and evolve, the city felt it needed to have a single point of contact and control for all it's internal technology needs. The I.T. Administrator will provide hardware and software support to all city employees, liason with other government agencies and private industry, and also administer the city's web presence.
Steve Conwell has transferred from the Police Deparmtment to work at City Hall as our I.T. Administrator. Conwell has been employed with the city since 1994, working his way up the ranks at the Police Department from Officer to Major, and will remain sworn in as a City Marshal in addition to his new job responsibilities.
