Based on the findings from the review of evidence, the External Review Team recommends that Walton County School District be accredited pending final action by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission.
The Walton County School District received an exemplary report from the AdvancED team who visited the system this week for a five year accreditation review. Dr. Billy Floyd, the Lead Evaluator of the External Review Team, speaking of the WCSD Index of Educational Quality score awarded by AdvancED said, “I don’t go to many school districts and conduct these accreditation external review teams where I see school systems score over a 3, and I do them not only in the United States but all over the world.” WCSD earned a score of 3.2. Dr. Floyd went on to say, “You’ve got an outstanding school system.”
Board Chair, Jeremy Kilburn said, “Thanks to all the teachers, administrators, and central office staff who worked tirelessly to prepare for this review. Congratulations to everyone in the district who has worked toward this goal.”
