Let us know if you have a service problem so that we can work with you to solve it. Our office hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday. Complaints should be called into the Public Works Department office at 770-267-6933, ask for our Solid Waste Division, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Household garbage is picked up weekly at the curb from city provided 96 gallon garbage cart. It is the responsibility of each resident to place such garbage or refuse at the curbside no earlier than 5:00 p.m. on the day before collection. After collection the garbage cart must be removed from the street or curb by 5 p.m. of the day following. Household garbage is the only thing that should be put into the container. Additional garbage carts can be obtained for an extra charge by calling the Public Works Department at 770-267-6933.
If you are disable and cannot take your garbage cart to the street/curb, you may come by City Hall and pick up an application to fill out or download the request form below and have signed by your physician for backdoor pickup.
Recycling is collected weekly at the curb the same day your household garbage is picked up. Each resident is provided with one recycling bin. After collection the recycling bin must be removed from street or curb by 5 p.m. on the day following pickup. For additional bins, please click request form below.
The following items are collected in this program: aluminum, metal food, and beverage cans; newspapers; magazines; cardboard (cereal & food boxes flattened), all plastic containers #1- #7, except #6. Please view list of items Not Accepted for recycling:
Please remember to empty and rinse all containers before set out.
White goods such as old appliances (refrigerators, stoves, freezers), scrap metals and empty paint cans will be picked up by the Solid Waste department once per week, or you may bring it to our Transfer Station at 213 Cherry Hill Road and have it placed inside a scrap metal recyclable container.
Bulk Trash Collection
Bulk trash is collected once per week at curbside, the same day as household garbage pickup. Items must be separated from yard trimmings and scrap metals. Acceptable items include old furniture, clothing and wood scraps. Liquid paint, oil, dirt, auto parts, and any other type of chemicals is prohibited from curbside collection.
The city offers rolloff service to local residents and business customers for remodeling and cleanup. Customers may request a 30 yard container two weeks in advance for delivery. Please contact our office for dumpster availability and setup. Tires are not permitted for disposal!

This service is provided Monday through Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Solid Waste department will provide a 2, 4, 6, or 8 cubic-yard front load container, for business located within the corporate boundaries of the city.
