The current Zoning Ordinance was adopted on December 10, 2024. The Zoning Ordinance is a hybrid of a form based code and a Euclidian zoning ordinance. The Form Based Code, called the Character Based Code, was introduced into the Zoning Ordinance with the December 10th adoption after working more than a year with the community, staff, and city council to create a vibrant form based code for the core of the City. The Character Based Code is governed by the rules under Article VII of the Zoning Ordinance, which includes a Character Based Code Regulating Plan.

The Splash Pad at the Town Green is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10:00am until 6:00pm (weather permitting). Pad will be closed on First Friday Concert dates. 

With the support of Monroe's Main Street Program and collaboration with TSJA (The Seward Johnson Atelier, Inc.), we are thrilled to present 10 remarkable sculptures on display until February 2026. The loan of these sculptures are a testament to the creativity and partnerships that make Monroe a truly special place.
