The current Zoning Ordinance was adopted on December 10, 2024. The Zoning Ordinance is a hybrid of a form based code and a Euclidian zoning ordinance. The Form Based Code, called the Character Based Code, was introduced into the Zoning Ordinance with the December 10th adoption after working more than a year with the community, staff, and city council to create a vibrant form based code for the core of the City. The Character Based Code is governed by the rules under Article VII of the Zoning Ordinance, which includes a Character Based Code Regulating Plan.
