Make the most of your visit to Monroe by starting at the Monroe Welcome Center! Here, you’ll find brochures, maps, and expert local recommendations. Plus, don’t miss the 1821 Shoppe, offering a unique selection of Monroe-themed gifts. We’re located at 227 S. Broad Street.

The Monroe Market

The Monroe Market is an initiative to encourage citizens to buy fresh, locally grown produce and goods. The market is operated and comprised by its membership of farmers, growers, and artisan vendors.

Fall Fest

Fall Fest is the official kick-off for the Fall Season in Downtown Monroe. Families can come and enjoy a day full of activities, costume contest, games and rides for children. Others can walk around and enjoy the change of weather, visit our local downtown shops, dine in our restaurants, and enjoy live music

Candlelight Shopping

Candlelight Shopping is a time for shoppers to come and fill their Holiday lists by supporting our local downtown merchants and enjoying later store hours, live music, and appearances by Santa Clause. You’ll find yourself ready for the Holiday season and taking care of seasonal shopping while spending time with us on Thursday evenings.
