The Crepe Myrtle Festival is Back and Better Than Ever! 

We’re excited to bring one of Monroe’s most beloved events back to downtown on June 14th! For years, the Crepe Myrtle Festival has been a highlight in our community, and we’re thrilled to revive it in the heart of downtown Monroe.

Community Blood Drive

Spring into life with the gift of blood donation on May 31st. To show our appreciation, each donor will receive a $5 Amazon.com gift certificate via email and a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream courtesy of Scoops Monroe! Alive After 5

Join us the first Thursday of each month for extended business hours (5:00-8:00 pm) from your favorite downtown business.    Visit the Monroe Walton Center for the Arts to view the local show or to pick up a unique gift in their artist market and enjoy live music from local musicians as you stroll the streets of downtown.  Come early to shop and stay late to dine.  Get a free Alive After 5 Tote (while supplies last) just for shopping with us!

City Wide Cleanup

The City of Monroe will be participating in the "Great American Cleanup" for the month of April.  A Citywide clean-up day is planned for Saturday, April, 23rd.  Volunteers will meet at City Hall at 9:00 am to disburse all over the city for trash pick-up. Please join us!

During the week of April 18-22, any resident living within the city limits of Monroe (excluding businesses) may bring trash, garbage, scrap metal, and/or tires (limit 10) to the City of Monroe Transfer Station at 213 Cherry Hill Road...FREE of charge!!!

First Friday Concert Presented by Snellville Heating, Air & Plumbing~ August 4th

Snellville Heating, Air & Plumbing presents The Wildflowers (Tom Petty Tribute) with Brandon Whitley as the opening act on August 4th.  

We'll be on the lawn of the historic court house  (111 South Broad Street) while our town green is under construction.  

Visit our food court for dinner and drinks or come early and dine downtown! No outside alcohol. Alcohol may be purchased onsite or in a downtown restaurant using our Monroe branded to-go cup.

First Friday Concert - Departure

DEPARTURE Journey Tribute Band will be coming to Monroe on Friday, August 2nd. VIP tables are SOLD OUT. In their 11th year together, DEPARTURE is the most respected Journey tribute band in the nation. DEPARTURE replicates the look, sound and feel of the original 80’s rock super group, Journey. All five DEPARTURE band members are from the original line-up and have been together from the very beginning. These veteran musicians love what they do and have developed amazing on-stage chemistry.
