The Monroe Tree Board is a volunteer board, that meets quarterly, and is  appointed by City Council.

ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION RELOCATION SERVICES

The City of Monroe will be accepting Bids to contract services for the installation and relocation of electrical distribution lines.  All submittals should follow instructions as detailed in the Invitation to Bid and be complete in scope as requested by the City of Monroe. Bids are to be submitted no later than September 16, 2019 at 3:00 pm (EST).

 

Monroe Police Department National Night Out

Come out and network with your Monroe Police Officers on Tuesday August 6, 2019 in Pilot Park (515 Church Street) for National Night Out. This program is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

FREE Hotdogs and drinks will be provided by Walton EMC. Also, there will be lots of games to play along with awesome music entertainment.

Community Blood Drive

Join us for our Pizza with a Purpose blood drive on August 16th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Community Center.  As a thank you, Your Pie Monroe will give all donors a coupon for a free pizza! 4th of July Fireworks

Join us for a July 4th Fireworks spectacular at the Athens Tech Monroe Stadium.  There will be no official program or vendors but the football stadium and field will be open for viewing.  The fireworks show will begin at dark (approximately 9:00 pm).  Parking is available at the Monroe Police Department (140 Blaine Street), along Edwards Street around the field, and the Athens Tech campus parking.

Rest Haven Cemetery Tour

The Historical Society of Walton County cordially invites you to attend a Historic Rest Haven Cemetery Tour on Sunday, October 24th at 3:00 pm.  This tour will be conducted by Mr. Al Stephens, Trustee of the Society.  Al is experienced as a docent at the Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia and you will enjoy the walk with Al in History with some of our Walton County Founders.  Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes.  Water will be provided.

Use is permitted, enough parking available, some building improvements needed. 

Step 1: Apply for necessary construction permits through Code Department

  • Submit permits with fees to Code Office

Step 2: Verify if exterior improvements/signage requires a Certificate of Appropriateness (for properties in Corridor Overlay or Historic Districts)

Move in Ready

Use is permitted, enough parking available, no building improvements needed.
