The City of Monroe is currently seeking to completely rehabilitate and replace all playground equipment at Pilot Park, located at 515 East Church Street. The park is situated in the historic district on approximately 1.81 acres and a little over .25 miles east of downtown Monroe.

The Fabulous Fox Theatre is making its debut in Monroe! Visit the Monroe Walton County Library between January 16th and February 6th to view the interactive display of the history of the Fox Theatre. The exhibit focuses on how the important events in the Fox Theatre's timeline intersect with American history, the Civil Rights Movement, economics and the importance of communities.
